0. Practice reconnaissance

Question: What new world could grow from the artist's existing practice?

  • Inspected existing TITLES account, outputs, sessions, and representative work.
  • Identified tactile synthetic world-building, deadpan humor, handmade material cues, and whimsy complicated by the uncanny.
  • Proposed a bounded pantheon rather than an open-ended image feed.

Primary tools: TITLES account/output/session/feed inspection; local writing.

1. World bible

  • Built a bank of sixty minor gods.
  • Defined domains, offerings, taboos, miracles, materials, motion events, and liturgy placement.
  • Organized the complete work into ten six-god liturgies.

Primary outputs: CABINET_BIBLE.md and production plans.
Generation spend: $0.

2. Visual-tradition test

  • Tested Collage Around Me, Bones and All, and Cut From Elsewhere.
  • Selected Cut From Elsewhere by @juujuumama.
  • Preserved model/adapter IDs and creator credit.

TITLES outputs: six model-test images across three two-output runs.
Decision: use one artist-model tradition for the complete Cabinet.

3. Canonical portrait production

  • Generated two candidates for each of sixty gods.
  • Reviewed and selected one canonical portrait per god.
  • Preserved rejected candidates and selected output IDs.

TITLES: 60 Cut From Elsewhere nodes / 120 outputs.
Local: selection, download, naming, manifest, validation.
Image/model-test spend: $3.187894 total.

4. Liturgies I–V

  • Produced gods 01–30 in serialized six-god chapters.
  • Generated selected manifestations and purpose-written evidence voices.
  • Built local scores and chapter films.
  • Created the first-thirty cumulative master.
  • Audited the polished narrator problem and built a wider voice audition reel.

Key correction: “Speech is evidence, not narration.”

5. Liturgies VI–X

  • Produced gods 31–60.
  • Generated fifteen selected manifestations and nineteen evidence recordings for the original chapter films.
  • Synthesized five additional procedural scores locally.
  • Built chapters VI–X and the original complete-sixty master.

Cumulative TITLES spend after original sixty-god master: $16.757992.

6. Complete manifestation coverage

  • Audited canonical motion coverage: 28/60 complete.
  • Generated 32 missing animations.
  • Lost Glove required two refunded moderated attempts and one successful ambient-motion prompt.
  • Standardized all files as motion/01-*.mp4 through motion/60-*.mp4.

TITLES motion spend: $14.560000 for 32 successful runs.
Coverage: 60/60, zero decode failures.
Cumulative spend: $31.317992.

7. Interactive Cabinet

  • Built still gallery, motion gallery, and final combined cabinet.html.
  • Added lazy hover/focus/click playback.
  • Enforced one active manifestation.
  • Added explicit sound-enable behavior.

Primary tools: HTML/CSS/JavaScript, local HTTP serving, browser DOM and console inspection.

8. Complete audio-relic coverage

  • Synthesized sixty deterministic five-second nonverbal relics.
  • Preserved WAV masters and normalized M4A browser copies.
  • Integrated one relic per manifestation.

Primary tools: Python, FFmpeg.
Generation spend: $0.
Coverage: 60/60, zero decode failures.

9. Evidence-film design

  • Chose the title Evidence Regarding Minor Gods.
  • Defined one recurring town-like cast.
  • Assigned 28 private messages, 19 municipal notices, and 13 conflicting-witness units.
  • Considered and rejected first/last-frame extension generation before running it.
  • Established the existing-asset grammar: exhibit → inspection → incident → residue.

10. Three-god evidence proof

  • Saint Draft: private answering machine.
  • Crosswalk Prophet: municipal intercom.
  • Cupboard Listener: conflicting witnesses.
  • Processed raw voices locally into three diegetic channels.
  • Built and verified the proof before scaling.

Pilot speech spend: $0.041040.

11. Complete evidence-voice batch

  • Generated and processed the remaining evidence performances in three parallel batches.
  • Recovered from temporary download rate limits through sequential retry.
  • Recorded execution IDs, output IDs, costs, local paths, durations, filters, and verification.

Final feature voice pass: 73 raw performances / 60 units.
Feature voice spend: $0.729782.
Complete project TITLES spend: $32.047774.

12. Square first-pass evidence film

  • Built sixty edits, ten chapters, and a complete 13:57.77 master.
  • Verified all media technically.
  • Human review identified semantic timing, aspect-ratio, and typography problems.

Lesson: passing decode and loudness checks does not mean an edit is artistically aligned.

13. Native 4:5 semantic conform

  • Rebuilt at 1080×1350.
  • Created sixty frame-quantized semantic cue records.
  • Synchronized manifestation and relic start frames.
  • Introduced lower thirds and locator typography.
  • Rebuilt and verified a 12:23.35 aligned master.

Human review identified: the final return to the opening still remained abrupt; graphic overlays still felt unrelated to the website.

14. Website-slot film proof

  • Reframed media and metadata as one website-derived slot.
  • Used moving portraits and moving final-frame residue.
  • Removed the return to the first still.
  • Transitioned while outgoing and incoming gods remained in motion.
  • Tested a four-god proof.

Decision: approved for all sixty.

15. Definitive evidence film

  • Applied the slot treatment to every god.
  • Assembled ten scrolling-slot liturgies.
  • Rebuilt opening and closing typography with explicit hard returns.

Final master: evidence-regarding-minor-gods-website-slot-edition.mp4
Runtime: 11:53.15
Format: 1080×1350 H.264, AAC stereo 44.1 kHz
Verification: 60 individual clips, 10 chapters, and complete master decoded successfully.

16. Synchronized Evidence Cabinet

  • Generated exact per-god master/active/incident/transition/seek times.
  • Built a second independent website without editing the original Cabinet.
  • Added active, entering, past, and future grid states.
  • Used one shared muted preview decoder.
  • Added direct hashes, chapter jumps, keyboard controls, follow mode, and responsive layouts.
  • Verified byte-range seeking through Caddy.

17. Responsive conform

  • Bound desktop player label, video, metadata, and controls to one width constrained by column and viewport height.
  • Prevented player/grid overlap.
  • Made stacked player, metadata, scrubber, and controls full viewport width.
  • Made the full-width mobile player non-sticky so the grid remains reachable.

18. Hosting handoff

  • Copied the two HTML experiences and all 181 runtime media files—60 stills, 60 manifestations, 60 relics, and one evidence master—into one static package.
  • Added index.html, deployment helpers, timeline JSON, checksums, security scan, and process documentation.
  • Verified both packaged sites over a byte-range-capable local server.

Final inventory

  • 60 canonical portraits
  • 60 canonical manifestations
  • 60 audio relics
  • 73 raw final evidence performances
  • 10 procedural chapter scores
  • 10 liturgies
  • 1 definitive evidence master
  • 2 interactive websites
  • 1 static hosting package
  • 1 persistent TITLES project/session with complete node lineage
